1.About these terms
These terms apply to your use of saultdigital.com.au and to the services provided by Sault Digital, ABN 74 230 468 997, based in Melbourne, Victoria.
The specific scope, timeline and price of each project are set out in a written proposal or agreement. If anything in your proposal differs from these terms, the proposal applies.
2.Using our website
You’re welcome to browse and share our website. Please don’t misuse it, try to interfere with how it works, or copy our content for commercial use without permission.
Our articles, guides and FAQs are general information only. They aren’t legal, financial or professional advice for your situation.
3.Quotes and proposals
Every project starts with a written quote or proposal that sets out what’s included. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
If you’d like something outside the agreed scope, we’ll let you know the cost in writing before we do the work. No surprise invoices.
4.Fees and payment
- Projects need a 50% deposit to secure a start date, with the balance paid as set out in your proposal.
- Invoices are due within 14 days, and payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Prices are in Australian dollars. Sault Digital is not currently registered for GST, so no GST is added to our invoices.
- Ongoing services, such as SEO, ad management and care plans, are billed monthly and can be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice.
- If an invoice is overdue, we may pause work until it’s paid.
5.Third-party platforms and costs
Platform subscriptions, hosting, domains, plugins, fonts, stock images and advertising spend are paid by you directly, and set up in your name wherever possible. This includes platforms like Framer, Squarespace, WordPress hosting and Shopify.
We’re not responsible for changes, outages or price increases made by third-party providers, but we’ll always help you work through them.
6.Your responsibilities
To keep your project on track, you agree to:
- provide content, feedback and approvals within the agreed timeframes
- make sure you own, or have permission to use, any content and materials you give us
- check that the content on your site is accurate and meets any rules for your industry, such as advertising guidelines
If feedback or content is delayed, timelines may need to move.
7.Who owns the work
Once your project is paid in full, you own the final website, designs and brand files we create for you, along with any accounts set up in your name.
We keep ownership of our own tools, code libraries and know-how that existed before your project, and you receive an ongoing licence to use any of them included in your work. Third-party assets, such as fonts and stock images, are covered by their own licences.
8.Our portfolio
We may show your project in our portfolio and marketing, unless you ask us not to in writing. We will never share your confidential information.
9.Confidentiality
We each agree to keep the other’s confidential information private and to use it only for the project.
10.Results
SEO and advertising results depend on many things outside our control, including search engine algorithms, competition and budget. We don’t guarantee specific rankings, traffic or sales. What we do guarantee is honest, transparent work and clear reporting.
11.Fixes and support
If you find a bug in our work within 30 days of launch, we’ll fix it at no cost. After that, support is available through a care plan or at our hourly rate.
12.Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
13.Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to supplying the services again or refunding the fees paid for the relevant services. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or data.
14.Ending a project
Either of us can end a project by giving written notice. You’ll pay for work completed up to that point, and once that’s paid we’ll hand over everything finished so far.
15.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
16.Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last changed. Questions? Email hello@saultdigital.com.au.
